CORBETO’S BOOTS 70 YEARS WITH THE BOOTS ON

When you walk along Las Ramblas and look at the shops at both sides of the promenade, soon realize that there are less and less family-run business. But when you approach number 40, real leather smell reminds you that still exist genuine places. The thing is that the smell of our shop, currently managed by the fourth generation of our family, is unmistakable.

Doing a bit of background

Corbeto’s Boots started its journey on 1948. At that time , we just sold the camperos boots made in Andalucia. The mythical Valverde del Camino, countryside boots that you could wear for working and horse riding, are very special for us because represent our origins and will never be out of fashion. But if there is something clear for us is that we need to evolve and be aware of the opportunities.

US Navy arrival to Barcelona during the 60’s originated a new trend. The North American Marines came with their spectacular cowboy boots, more elaborated, with pointed toes and cut heels. Our grandfather made deals with those Marines changing their boots for our camperos. After that he brought those boots to the factories and so we created a new product line that was an immediate success. In a few years Corbeto’s Boots became Spain’s largest assortment of cowboy boots shop.

Later on , in 1991, we undertake store’s complete refurbishment. Keeping the original spirit but with a fresh and renovated look. Now, at Corbeto’s will find camperos and cowboy boots but we expanded our offer to suit our customer’s needs and interests. So, we expanded our brand’s range, we sell biker boots, laced boots, western, rockabilly and biker clothing and many kinds of accessories. From rings and earrings to necklaces and bracelets, from genuine leather belts to shirt collar tips, from firearm replicas to decorative flags, from bolo ties and colonel ties to authentic cowboy hats.

We took our last big leap by opening our online shop. At our store in Las Ramblas, 80% of our customers are from Spain. During summer months we receive customers from many different countries. But Internet created a great chance to let the people from all around the world know our products. So we are now exporting to more than 50 countries, like Australia, New Zealand, Dubai… or even traditional cowboy markets with a strong presence of western shops like United States or Mexico.

70 years with great customers

During all these years our aim has always been offering high level service and products, putting always ahead customer’ satisfaction over any other question. We always pretend the customer to feel like at home. We believe that until now we are successful and will keep working to be so!
We have very diverse customers, among them stands out cowboy style enthusiasts, country music and line dance fans, western fashion lovers and genuine bikers. Musicians, artists, doctors, lawyers or judges come to Corbeto’s Boots. And despite all customers are equally important, it is true, indeed, that we have received the visit of some celebrities that give a special touch to our history. As His Majesty King Felipe VI, that visited our shop to buy a pair of camperos boots when he was a young Prince surrounded by a big security control; or musicians like Pep Sala, Mikel Erentxun or Loquillo; or even Bob Dylan, that not only bought a pair of boots but wrote a song , Boots of Spanish Leather, making reference to it.
