In this blog we have already dedicated them more than one article. We told you about its history and also how take care of them. It’s inevitable, we can’t forget that were the campero’s boots what originated our business. But although is almost impossible separate this Huelva’s province town from the campero’s boots, not all their producers are exclusively dedicated to their production. Among al lot of them stands out a brand that has bet on design innovation, adapting to new trends. We are talking about Mayura Boots.

Mayura Boots, 50 years of tradition and innovation

In Valverde del Camino, footwear tradition already existed since 19th Century. Until mid of 20th Century decade, it was usual to work in small spaces or rooms that the artisans had at their own homes. But, since 1912, with the local industrialization, started to appear the first footwear factories that combine tradition and industrial production.

Is in this context when 50 years ago Mayura Boots was born. But unlike other brands, it focused on innovation and adapting to its customer’s new interests. Instead only focusing in the Rociero boots, typical from the region , and the campero’s boots, , the renowned brand has diversified its production to other kind of boots: western and cowboy boots, horse riding boots, or biker and engineer boots, all of them standing out for their quality.

Handcradted boots of the best quality

At Mayura Boots, although the most modern technology is used to produce their boots, they have knew keeping the essence of the handcraft at its origins, always rooted to leather footwear craftmanship.

Apart from using the best materials, they give a great importance to their boot’s look and design. Different colors and design lines are available, whatever the style is. Biker boots, cowboy, fashion or horse riding, always have their touch of refinement.

Furthermore, all Mayura boots incorporate the Goodyear system, the best method to reach excellence in footwear craftmanship. This process, created in England in 1872 by Charles Goodyear Jr. gives boots an added value and is the only welt internationally recognized.

The Goodyear handcraft process consist in two parts:

  • The Goodyear welt put together the leather to the panel and the insole.
  • A second welt joins the panel to the outsole.
  • The whole process to produce a pair of boots with the Goodyear system could need up to 250 steps where 92% of production is totally handcrafted.

Whit this process we get the following advantages:

  • Comfort: usage of a filling of cork between the outsole and the insole, makes that, after an initial time wearing the boots, the individual footstep is “printed” in the cork. So a perfect adaptation to the insole and the cork to feet morphology offers the best comfort.
  • Isolation: this cork filling that is inserted between the outsole and the insole provides thermal isolation that protects feet from land’s irregularities.
  • Flexibility: panel construction os a great adaptability to all kind of footwear, usage and fashion.
  • Resistance: because of the properties that provides the Goodyear welt panel, incomparable  resistance and durability are combined.
